537 Fizz (China, Age 15): English

Memoir

My name is Fizz , I come from China. China is a big country, China have many population. In China have 56 ethnic collectively vefer to as the chinese. Dragon is symbol of Chinese. Cause China have many population ,so competition is fierce have some Chinese will go others country get work. Japan is China’s neighbor , many Chinese is hate Japanese they always abuse Japanese in internet, because Japanese killed many Chinese in 1937 , but I think not each Japanese is bad ,not every Japanese have killed Chinese. We can not be used in this way to abuse a ethnic.

I have a cousin, when I was 4 year old, he live with me. He is son of my father’s brother . Our go elementary school together, 6 years we are same class same grade. In others it seems we like brothers, my cousin his very strong and daring . I have less friend, because I’m very shy , I don’t know how to make friends, not good at exchange. but he is very different to me. He alway have a lot friend , he is very good at communication. Though he is younger than me, but he alway is tall than me, My grandmother said he is eat too much.

In mid school we also are together. My parents said because you and he is brother. stand together can care each other.

Chinese teacher is very strict. They use different way to punish mistake people. If you come class late, after class you need to make choose is use ruler smack your hand or copy one book 10 times. When teather is go to outside few minute, have one student did some bad thing, they will punish all student because you and he are classmate are a group. Even you did not do anything , they told us only severely punished can made student remember ，no next.

14 year old, I’m 8 grade in China , though I already know I will go to USA, but I do not know is at this time, I don’t want leave because here have my classmate they also is my friend. They accompanied me for one half year, we have long been accustomed to laugh together, play together, talking in your sleep at night , eat together ,like  family. but my parents let me go to the United States paid a lot, I must be go. before I go, I looked for a long time my school I want it engraved in my heart, I will remember they’s name , my classmate name for meet the next time.

At home my grandmother is very sad, she looked at me and my cousin grew up, now have one will leave her. she talked to me “remember where you from , who you are ,here alway is you home.

when I first come to the United States, everything is different people, street, air.

In the United States, my family find a school , I need go in and learn some thing, I very scare to go. when I come in the class , the student and teacher they are enthusiasm, the teacher say “ what is your name”. I was very tension . first time talk with other country’ people, “Fizz” I said . There see me very shy, tell me where I still and start the class

At lunch have many student ask me where you from and order. My English is very bad ,they ask me and I can’t answer it . just shaking my head , and silence. I feel very bad, because I think I not respect others.

In here don’t have many homework and no punish like China .My mother alway tell me work hard so I can get a good job, and made more money.

I came to the United States has been two years, I’m 10 grade now , I have my friend in school, English better than before ,teacher is no strict, no many homework, here is very fair. even then, I still like China better USA. Because that have my friend, my family, my favorite food. and I was born in China.

China is my home I miss them.
